Extension educational programs met the real needs of our past, are relevant today, and will meet critical societal needs of our future.
Whether helping obese children and adults exercise more and make better food choices, working with families in financial crisis to allocate their resources more effectively, or helping farmers and community leaders make more sustainable economic and environmental choices, UT Extension continues to respond to the needs of Tennesseans.
As more than 300 dedicated Extension professionals across the state work for and among the state’s homes, farms, businesses, and communities, they continue to commit their heads, hands and hearts to the task of transforming Tennessee.
The Western Region consists of 31 counties bordered by the Mississippi River to the west and extending past the Tennessee River to the east.
